In central Germany, nestled along the river Lahn you will find this popular and exciting resort town, known well for its exceptional spa facilities that offer a full spectrum of treatments. The town is frequently visited by tourists who want to find relaxation at the spas but it is also a great place to enjoy some outdoor activities and experience some of the area’s charming cultural attractions and events. Visitors to the area can enjoy water sports on the river, as well as visit the surrounding mountains for hiking, mountain biking, cycling and more. Cultural attractions here include some fascinating events like Germany’s largest flower parade, held every August. The town is also home to the oldest casino in Germany and the Roman Limes, a UNESCO Wold Heritage Site, which is well worth a visit.

Location: Central Germany along the river Lahn

Located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and found on the banks of the Lahn river, Bad Ems is a town that is easily accessed by plane, train, boat or car. The airports of Cologne/Bonn and Frankfurt are both convenient options and the town centre is served by two train stations, main station and station west. If driving, you can reach the town via the A61 motorway and boats arrive via the river Lahn.

Business in the area is almost entirely linked to the town’s popularity as a spa location and you will find numerous businesses in the form of spas, hotels, and restaurants that cater to the many tourists. The town is also a perfect place for business meetings and seminars. The Am Kurpak conference centre is a popular venue in town for business events.

You will find that the town has a vibrant cultural scene with theatres, museums, and concert halls to attend. The Spa Theatre is a popular venue and often has musical performances. During your visit you must also be sure to visit the casino (Germany’s oldest) and take a look at the Roman Limes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also, if you’re in town in August, don’t miss the flower parade.

Bad Ems is certainly a place where you will find plenty to do. Of course, you have to book some time at a spa or two and enjoy a relaxing treatment.
