This town is a living museum. It is the only completely preserved medieval town in North-Rhine Westphalia. The castle walls comprise 4 gates and 18 towers. Take a stroll along the walls to gain a good view of the town and surrounding area and even to the Eifel mountain range in the distance. The lively pedestrianized old town has an array of narrow alleyways and artisan shops and cafes. It is a history lover’s paradise with numerous museums and guided tours on offer. Location: A medieval gem awaits where time stands still

This historic spa town is located in the south of North Rhine Westphalia. It is situated south of Cologne and west of Coblenz affording it easy access to other parts of Germany. The River Erft runs right through the heart of the old town. The river flows through the foothills of the Eifel mountain range and eventually meets the Lower Rhine. There are 10 different bridges in the town to admire and choose from to cross the river.
