Culture: Religious and Historical Sites
One of the most iconic historical places to visit in Laatzen is the Old Chapel, This church was built in the early 14th century. That makes it the oldest building in the town. The bell has been restored but was once rung by hand, and a new window depicts beautiful religious art. It is still in its original brick art style. There are many other historic churches here as well such as St. Nicolas Parish Church with its lovely grounds and statues. For a deeper look into history, visit the Aviation Museum Laatzen-Hannover. It is an amazing testament to the history of aviation with 36 aircraft and 30 piston engines. Some of the most interesting exhibits include "Daredevil Pilots" and "Women in Aviation."
