Schwerin - The Florence of the North
Location: Capital City at the Center of Commerce in Northern Germany
The capital city of the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany lies within the triangular area formed by Berlin, Hamburg and Rostock, making transportation to and from the city easy. Within the city area are the seven lakes for which the city is known. The city has several buses and trams, and it has a railway line that connects with Berlin, Hamburg and Rostock.

The city's location in the heart of North Germany near Berlin, Hamburg and Rostock provides it with many opportunities for commercial growth. It features the Baltic Industrial Park, one of North Germany's largest integrated industrial areas. Science and research is increasingly making its way to the city. The most famous attraction is the castle, situated on an island between Schwerin and Burgsee lakes. The Cathedral is another beautiful historical building to visit, and the tower offers a 360-degree view of the city. There are several theater offerings by the Mecklenburg State Theater. Every year, there is the castle theater festival, which is an internally acclaimed opera festival. The State Museum features many famous pieces of artwork, as does the Gallery of Old and New Masters.

There are many beautiful parks and gardens in the city, especially the garden of the Castle. The seven lakes offer visitors beautiful walks, as well as water sports including boating. There is also a zoo in town featuring many beautiful animals. Warnemünde, a city on the Baltic cost, is about an hour away and offers visitors a day trip filled with fun activities amid beautiful coastline views.
