Lignano Sabbiadoro - The largest marina in Italy
Location: On the north Adriatic coastline
Midway between Trieste to the east and Venice to the west, both around 100 kilometres away, Lignano Sabbiadoro can be found just off the A4/E70 motorway, which bisects northern Italy. Venice Marco Polo International Airport is an easy one-hour drive away, and has flights from all over Europe and beyond all year round.
Business: A growing conference location
Lignano Sabbiadoro has over 200 hotels, and the larger of these have facilities for use by the increasing business trade who are beginning to make use of the town for conferences and meetings in a wonderful location. The business facilities and exhibition centres of Trieste and Venice are only a short distance away and easily commutable by car within one hour travelling time.
Culture: A monthly calendar of events
The town plays host to many cultural festivals and events throughout the year. The highlight in summer months is a weekly 'Puppets and Pines' theatre show that enthrals locals and visitors alike with a myriad of folklore tales and street theatre. The literary Hemingway Awards take place in June in the town, and celebrate the town’s connection with the famous author by promoting new and upcoming writers.

A day of fun-filled action can be found at the Aquasplash Waterpark, or you can try your hand at sailing at one of the many schools at the marina, but for a relaxing day out visit the Marano Lagoon. It is a place of outstanding natural beauty, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and history, where you can sit back and relax as the sounds of nature wash around you.
