With all attractions and neighborhoods accessible by its wonderful Metro underground rail system, this city’s 68.3 square miles is easily traveled enjoyed.

Business: More than just the ‘business’ of politics.

Though nearly 30% of the jobs in the city are spoken for by the federal government, Washington D.C. offers so much more for business investors and workers out of the private sector. The Eastern Market employees a plethora of artisans and food vendors, industries such as scientific research, banking and of course tourism employ thousands and fortune 500 companies like the ITT Corporation, Fannie Mae and Pepco Holdings make their home in the capital city.

Culture: Museums, gardens and ‘The Mall’

Unprecedented access to some of the nation’s best museums, plus the Lincoln Memorial, The Unites States Capitol, Washington Monument make this city a stop for even the most apolitical visitor. The scenic Potomac river, the many gardens and older neighborhoods exude their own specific charm. Washington D.C. is a true ‘walking city’ with surprises around every turn.

Of course the monuments and museums of D.C.’s National Mall are a must-see, still there are plenty of activities for those who want to get out and about. For a small fee visitors can rent a paddle boat and cruise the Tidal Basin or take in the expansive 450 acres of the U.S. National Arboretum. D.C. also houses the National Zoo, with its own 163-acres in Rock Creek National Park.
